In collaboration with Renata Anselmo and her team, R17 Ventures AG established a strategic e-commerce joint venture named bonsai.ch. Our overarching vision is to assert dominance in the Swiss online bonsai market, leveraging the inherent strengths of each business partner. Following the joint venture's inception, a pivotal initiative involved the seamless migration of the existing store from WooCommerce to Shopify. Simultaneously, we introduced crucial features essential for sustained growth, including sophisticated up- and cross-sell functionalities and feed solutions enabling expansion onto diverse marketplaces. A paramount challenge was navigated on Google Ads. The focus was on preventing the cannibalization of an already robust organic sales volume while ensuring profitable returns on advertising spend (ROAS). Looking ahead, our roadmap includes the digitalization of physical courses, with plans to make all existing classes available online by the close of 2022. This holistic approach underscores our commitment to not only adapt to the evolving e-commerce landscape but to actively shape and lead in our chosen market segment.
