Skibidi: 2.5M users in one month

Skibidi already had something most new mobile games spend years trying to build: attention. The opportunity was to turn the reach of its creator partnership into measurable user growth. R17 connected the influencer's biggest channels with app-store acquisition to generate 55M video views, more than 3M downloads and 2.5M users in a single month.

The situation

Skibidi War – Toilet Attack was a hyper-casual mobile game developed by Influencer Apps in partnership with creator DaFuq!? Boom!. The game had a powerful built-in audience through the creator, but the challenge was turning that attention into downloads, active users and revenue at scale. Rather than treating the creator audience and paid acquisition as separate worlds, the opportunity was to connect the two and make the existing attention work harder.

The call

Turn creator attention into growth in users

The strategic opportunity was already sitting in front of us: the creator had massive reach on YouTube and TikTok, while the game needed a frictionless route from attention to download. R17 built the acquisition strategy around that advantage — amplifying the creator's strongest content and connecting it with the major app-store ecosystems across Android and iOS. The focus was not simply on generating views, but on moving people from content → download → user → revenue.

The work

Turn reach into sustainable conversions

01

Fix the measurement

Instead of starting from cold acquisition, we built around DaFuq!?Boom!'s established audience. His most popular YouTube and TikTok channels became the primary distribution points for the game.

02

Connect content with conversion

The creator's reach was used to generate awareness at scale, while Google Play and the Apple App Store provided the conversion layer. This connected high-volume content distribution directly to the places where users could download the game.

03

Scale the strongest distribution channels

YouTube and TikTok gave the game access to a huge relevant audience, while the app-store ecosystem captured demand across both Android and iOS. The combination created a scalable acquisition loop rather than relying on one platform or one source of traffic.

04

Optimise for users, not vanity metrics

Views were only the first step. The real measure of success was what happened after the impression: downloads, users and ultimately revenue. The campaign generated 55M video views, which translated into more than 3M downloads and 2.5M users.

The results

Turning viral reach to commercial performance

  • 2M users in one month
  • 55M video views
  • +3M downloads
  • 200% higher revenue than competitors
Thanks to R17’s digital advertising efforts, the Skibidi mobile app was a great success and outperformed our competitors in the SaaS / gaming space.
